Aurora Material Solutions Announces Acquisition of EnCom Polymers, Inc. in Partnership with Management

Platform expansion provides customers with an extended product offering, while building on a combined commitment to superior quality and service.

STREETSBORO, OH – MARCH 4, 2024 – Aurora Material Solutions, LLC. (Aurora), a leading manufacturer of polymer compounds, announced today its acquisition of EnCom Polymers, Inc. (EnCom). EnCom is a leading, privately-owned U.S. manufacturer of high-quality customized specialty engineered thermoplastics, color-matching services, and related material technology solutions. EnCom products are utilized in a host of applications in the electrical, automotive, medical, building and construction, consumer goods, business equipment, and transportation industries.

This acquisition marks the sixth transaction by Aurora since 2017, and further strengthens its offering in engineered thermoplastics. EnCom will be grouped with Enviroplas, which was acquired by Aurora in 2022 to create the company’s Engineered Thermoplastics business segment.

  • Rigid Engineered Thermoplastics: Materials and alloys consisting of ABS, AES, ASA, copolyester, CPVC, MABS, PA 6/66, PBT, PC, PEI, PET, POM, PP, PPE, PSU, SAN, TPU
  • PVC compounds: rigid PVC powder and pellet, flexible PVC; clear, opaque, colored rigid and flexible PVC; rigid cellular PVC; PVC/acrylic alloys
  • Flexible Engineered Thermoplastics: SBS and SEBS block co-polymers; TPO and chlorinated polyethylene alloys (CPE)
  • Other Specialty Compounds: custom thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), low-smoke zero-halogen compounds (LSOH), flame retardant concentrates, and purge compounds.
