With a variety of high-performance compounds, Aurora Plastics is a valued partner in developing solutions for personal care applications, such as handle grips on toothbrushes, razors, and hairbrushes.
Our AuroraFlex™ SBS and SEBS compounds utilize multiple TPE/TPR chemistries to deliver high-performance properties, including durability and easy processing. These materials are similar to vulcanized rubber, but can be molded and extruded using conventional thermoplastic process equipment. This offers benefits over vulcanized, thermoset rubbers, which are processed using a slower and more costly curing process. The majority of our TPR formulations are 100% recyclable and are RoHS compliant. TPE options are available as low as 10A* up to 50D durometer hardness. Some of our TPEs are offered in clear, as well as oil-free grades.
Polymers in our AuroraGuard™ family are known for high-heat properties and durability. AuroraGuard MABS (Methacrylate-Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene), often known as clear ABS, can outperform polystyrene, SAN, and PMMA for impact resistance and has similar heat distortion properties. Polycarbonate can outperform clear ABS for both impact resistance and high-temperature properties as well. Clear ABS scores well for stress-crack resistance and processability, with good melt flow characteristics.
Our experienced R&D team will work with you to develop a formulation that will meet your specific application needs. We are consistently recognized as best in class for our color development and production repeatability.
